Only an individual fully eligible to enroll in the university may attend a class as an auditor without receiving college credit. Permission to audit a course, undergraduate or graduate, must be obtained from both the instructor of the course and the chair of the department which offers the course, the dean of the college, and the Registrar. The auditor may not participate in the laboratory part of a course or in a studio, practicum, workshop, or activity course. Attendance as an auditor may not be made the basis of a claim for semester hour credit and audited courses are not recorded on the student’s permanent record. Courses that are audited are not eligible for financial aid or VA benefits. The Audit forms are available in the Office of the Registrar .
Any person 65 years of age or older may audit classes without a tuition charge providing there is space available. Fees are still applicable. Information may be secured in the Office of the Registrar .
