All new undergraduate students seeking admission to TWU must submit the following credentials.
- Completed application form, (www.applytexas.org
- Application fee
- Official transcript(s) from each previous institution attended
- Standardized test scores, if required (i.e. SAT, ACT)
- Copy of resident alien card, if applicable (permanent residents)
- TOEFL or TOEFL exemption (permanent residents)

Texas Woman’s University accepts only the ApplyTexas Application for Freshman Admission or the ApplyTexas Application for Transfer Admission. This application is available on-line at www.applytexas.org
. The ApplyTexas common application must be submitted on-line to the TWU Office of Admissions Processin
Application for undergraduate admissions requires an application fee of $50.00. The application fee for international students is $75.00. This is a non-refundable fee and applies to all applicants, including new and returning students. Payment may be made by MasterCard or VISA when paying online via ApplyTexas; credit cards will not be accepted once you submit your application. Payment made after submission of application will slow processing time and must be made via certified check or money order (payable to TWU and including the applicant’s full name, date of birth, and the ApplyTexas
application ID number). Cash payments may only be made in person at the Bursar’s Office
. Application fee waivers are only granted to freshman applicants submitting the official SAT or ACT fee waiver form.
TWU requires an official transcript of coursework from each institution previously attended. Official transcripts must be sent to TWU directly from the institution or delivered personally in a sealed envelope from the institution. The printed transcript must bear an official seal and/or signature. An official electronic transcript must be sent through a secured system directly to TWU from the sending institution. Any sign of tampering with the transcript information will render it unofficial and invalid. Submitted transcripts are the property of TWU and will not be returned to the applicant.
Failure to Disclose
All students applying to Texas Woman’s University are required to disclose academic information fully and honestly as stipulated on the ApplyTexas Application for Admission. Any applicant who provides false or incomplete information for proper determination of admission and residency is subject to any of the following penalties:
- Denial of admission to the University.
- Withdrawal from all classes with no refund.
- Dismissal from the institution.
- Loss of credit earned while under incorrect admission or residency status.

Standardized Test Scores
Standardized test scores include the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) or ACT (American College Test). Please refer to specific admissions categories for test score requirements. Test scores may be submitted to TWU directly from the test agency, recorded on an official high school transcript, or by an official student test score report submitted to the Office of Admissions
or the Office of Admissions Processing
NOTE: Although the Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA)
or appropriate exemptions are not required for admission, official test scores or proof of exemption/completion are required prior to enrollment in any collegiate level coursework for credit. Official scores should be submitted to the Office of Admissions Processing
University Admission Application Deadlines
Students should observe the following priority deadlines to ensure adequate application processing time and notification of the admission decision prior to the beginning of classes.
Priority deadlines are March 1 for fall, November 1 for spring, and one month prior to the first day of summer session. A final application deadline of ten days prior to the first day of each term is practiced to allow an accepted student the necessary time needed to enroll.
International students are advised to apply six months prior to the semester of entry.

College, School, or Program Admission and Deadlines
Students must be admitted to the University prior to applying to a specific college, school, or program major within TWU. For admission to a school, college, or program within the University, the student must satisfy all of the following and be accepted by the college or school:
- Requirements of the University,
- Requirements of the particular college or school,
- Requirements of the program or major.
Applicants are urged to contact the specific college or school for their admissions information. Students may also refer to the applicable section of the catalog or the TWU website
Individual TWU colleges, schools, or programs may have different application deadlines. Generally, the deadlines for the following academic units are as follows:
