General Description

This specialized Child Development program is one of five at Texas Woman’s University to offer degree plans in preparation for occupation therapy. Application is competitive and the TWU Graduate Catalog should be consulted for directions regarding minimum criteria for general admission to the MOT program. Undergraduates who want to prepare for application to the Master of Occupational Therapy program must meet TWU undergraduate core requirements, complete required course in the child development major as well as prerequisites and required courses for the Master of Occupational Therapy.

Minimum requirements for Alumni Advantage admission to the Master of Occupational Therapy program are:

  • Texas Woman’s University bachelor degree with major in child development.
  • Submission of GRE scores
  • Overall grade point average of 3.7 calculated on last 60 semester credit hours before completion of the Texas Woman’s University baccalaureate degree.
  • A grade of B or higher for each MOT prerequisite course.
  • Complete other MOT admission requirements as determined by the TWU School of Occupational Therapy.
