Residence Halls at the Texas Woman’s University Denton campus provide a wide range of choices in student living styles. Each residence hall is centrally air conditioned and offers a variety of amenities for students, including study lounges, living rooms, television lounges, laundry rooms, computer labs, vending machines, room refrigerators, and cable TV. Students can choose a traditional student room with private or community bathrooms. Apartment and suite style living offering one bedroom through three bedroom units are available for students with families and for upper class students (typically sophomores). Students may select halls of their choice to the extent possible. To obtain more information about individual residence hall and apartment options visit www.twu.edu/housing/  or contact:

Living Learning Communities

Living Learning Communities (LLC) at Texas Woman’s University provide learning opportunities outside of the classroom that strengthen student intellectual and personal growth. Two key communities, Neighbors Educated Together (NET) and First Year Connections (FYC) are centered around an academic or special interest theme and are structured for students to have a high degree of involvement in the program.

Living Learning Communities help students succeed academically and build a community of friends, while providing a way for students to get involved in campus life.

Undergraduate Residency Requirement

The University requires that all full-time, single undergraduates who have not completed 60 semester credit hours live in University residential communities unless one of the following exceptions apply:

  • 21 years of age or older
  • Active duty military or veterans of military service
  • Living with parents or legal guardians within the commuting distance

Room Assignments and Contract

The Housing contract guarantees a bed space in a double, triple, or quad occupancy room and the apartment's contract guarantees a bed space or the lease of an individual apartment, depending on apartment type. Assignments to residence halls are made on a space-available basis based on the date the application and deposit are received at the Department of University Housing .
