Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) - Accounting Emphasis


While a student pursuing this program does not need to have completed an undergraduate degree in Accounting, it is expected that the following TWU courses (or their equivalent) will have been satisfactorily completed prior to enrollment in the graduate Accounting courses required in this program:  BUS 2043BUS 2053BUS 3023BUS 3043BUS 3063BUS 3103, and BUS 4423

Semester Credit Hours Required

36 semester credit hours.

33 semester credit hours for students with a B.B.A. in Accounting from TWU.

Students should enroll in BUS 5893 Business Strategy and Policy their final semester of the program, as they will be required to integrate the knowledge and skills gained in all of the other required courses.  For the Accounting program, BUS 5493 Accounting Theory is the Capstone course and should be taken in the final semester of the program.  All of the undergraduate Accounting prerequisite courses and at least three of the other required graduate Accounting courses must be successfully completed before the start of BUS 5493.
