The School of the Sciences at Texas Woman’s University offers a student-centered, collaborative learning environment that encourages the development of analytical skills through scientific inquiry and hands-on experimentation.  The School has 29 undergraduate degree options in our five main academic divisions:  Biology, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Science, and Mathematics.

Community engagement and cutting-edge research are hallmark features of our academic programs in the School of the Sciences.  Students have the opportunity to work closely with faculty in research laboratories in the state-of-the-art Scientific Research Commons, as well as develop technical and professional skills by presenting their work at regional and national conferences.  Through SENCER (Science Education for New Civic Engagements and Responsibilities), students make connections between classroom concepts and broader community challenges on topics ranging from infectious disease to water quality to cybersecurity.

Whether preparing for graduate and professional schools or seeking a job in fast-growing STEM fields, our academic programs offer high-quality science education taught by world-class faculty who are dedicated to training the next generation of scientists.
