Our bachelor's degree in biology is your first step toward an engaging career in the life sciences. During our four-year program, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the principles of biology, chemistry, physics, physiology, plant biology, microbiology, molecular biology, and cellular biology. The broad background provided by our bachelor's degree offers excellent preparation for those seeking careers in the academic, industry, or government sectors, as well as admission into medical, dental, or veterinary programs.

Marketable Skills

Defined by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board's 60x30 Strategic Plan as, "Those skills valued by employers that can be applied in a variety of work settings, including interpersonal, cognitive, and applied skills areas. These skills can be either primary or complementary to a major and are acquired by students through education, including curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities."
