Dual Degree: Master of Science in Health Studies and Master of Library Science
Students in the dual-degree program will earn two degrees: the Master of Library Science and the Master of Science in Health Studies. Both degree programs are available entirely online.
The Master of Library Science degree prepares professionals for careers as health librarians and information specialists in hospitals, medical centers, medical schools, nursing colleges, and other public and private agencies. The Master of Science in Health Studies prepares students for leadership positions in the disciplines of health education and health promotion.
Marketable Skills
Defined by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board's 60x30 Strategic Plan as, "Those skills valued by employers that can be applied in a variety of work settings, including interpersonal, cognitive, and applied skills areas. These skills can be either primary or complementary to a major and are acquired by students through education, including curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities."

All students must meet the University requirements as outlined in the Admission to the TWU Graduate School section of the catalog.

A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university.

Residence Requirement
Successful completion of new HS student online orientation during the first year in the program.
Final Examination
Health Studies: A written comprehensive core project on the core coursework is required.
Library Science: Completion of the LS 5843 Practicum course.
