The B.A.A.S. in Health Sciences is available for students who transfer to TWU from a community college with a minimum of 15 semester credit hours (SCH) of WECM (workforce education) and a minimum of 12 SCH of academic courses. Coursework must be completed prior to transfer. To complete the B.A.A.S. degree at TWU, students will complete any additional core curriculum courses required for a four-year health sciences degree, 33 SCH in health sciences courses, and any electives needed in order to complete the 120 SCH needed for graduation; 36 upper-level SCH will be required.
Successful completion of the Health Studies track will allow students to apply to take the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) national exam.
Any student admitted to TWU for completion of the B.A.A.S. that decides to change majors will be required to re-apply to TWU for the degree and major desired. In such cases, technical SCH transferred to TWU will be removed from the TWU transcript.
